Care instructions for jute pillows:
Jute is a natural fabric and requires gentle care when its dirty. Wipe the surface with mild soap and a little water. Then dry the fabric with a hair dryer or fan. If possible, use a soft bristle brush to be gentle on the fabric and not to stress it.
Jute is usually machine washable at a maximum of 40° C, but we recommend a gentle hand wash. Jute is not suitable for dry cleaning, as the natural fibers may dissolve.
What does kilim mean?
Kilims are made by tightly weaving the warp and weft threads of the fabric together to create a flat surface without a pile. Kilims are usually woven using the slit weave technique. The slit refers to the gap between two color blocks. It is created by passing the weft back around the last warp in a color block, and the weft of the adjacent color is later passed back around the adjacent warp.
